The Miniature Schnauzer is not a “wash and wear” dog. They do require regular grooming every 4-6 weeks. This breed does require frequent brushing and combing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, as well as clipping or hand stripping. Always use a conditioning dog shampoo. Dog shampoos are formulated for dogs and their skin please do not use human shampoo on your miniature schnauzer. Get a good detangling spray such as "The Stuff" to spritz on the wet coat before drying to help with brushing out. The hardest part of the schnauzer groom is the eye brows and beard. Below I will put a helpful video if you want to try and groom yourself or my advise as a groomer is find yourself a good groomer and get a standing appointment every 4-6 weeks!!
